As I approach middle age, I am taking stock of a life unlike any other. I feel better for wear despite surviving major depression, morbid obesity and welfare. I studied English at Duke University and Ohio Northern University, and I dropped out of both B.A. programs. My life was a mess of attrition and despair until the Recession. As the economy crumbled, I got better, and I’m uncertain why. I think the timing was mere coincidence. In this blog I explore my sometimes incomplete recovery from mental illness. While I am candid about this aspect of my health, I also explore a hodgepodge of interests, such as photography and my half-baked domesticity.
I am located in Lima, Ohio.
